Water Activities

Different water sports are on offer in the Algarve, including diving, surfing, water-skiing, sailing or boat trips. The waters of Quarteira, Lagoa and Sagres are suitable for diving. There is surfing on some beaches at Vila do Bispo and Lagos, and windsurfing, water skiing and jet skiing at Albufeira, even during winter. For those who enjoy sailing, the marinas of Lagos, Portimão, Vilamoura and Albufeira offer these services. If you prefer something quieter, you can always opt for one of the boat trips.
